Opalis IP for Microsoft Virtual Server

Incorporate Virtual Servers into Automated Maintenance Procedures
Opalis Integration Server connects data center components to automate processes in a way that's simple, fast and effective. The Opalis Integration Pack for Microsoft Virtual Server allows administrators to automatically stop, start, create and remove virtual servers as part of their automated maintenance procedures.

Automate Virtual Server Provisioning
Using virtual servers is the latest way for IT organizations to cut costs by consolidating multiple servers into a single machine - without having to deal with application compatibility problems. With Opalis, administrators can automate server provisioning tasks such as starting services, copying files and even installing software.

Simplify Management and Save Time
Managing virtual servers adds an extra layer of complexity to IT operations. Opalis reduces this complexity by enabling administrators to automatically stop, start, create and remove virtual servers as part of their automated maintenance procedures.

Policies

1. Automate Deployment of New VM images

virtualserver1.gif
Opalis Integration Server deploys a new virtual machine on demand, backing up a previous virtual machine first.

2. Check VM Status Automatically

virtualserver1.gif
Opalis automatically backs up a virtual machine during off-hours, restarts the VM and sends a notification email if the VM does not restart.

3. Backup and Disaster Recovery

Opalis automatically monitors for new virtual machines images (in a specified directory). When a new image is dropped into the directory, it is automatically moved, added to the server's inventory and started.
