The Opalis Management Interface
This is a screen image of a reduced size interface, showing the key areas.
The left-hand column shows Action Server connection information, Policy Folders, Logical Computer Groups, Available Action Servers and Global Settings such as variables.
The main window is the policy editing workspace. Note that tabs along the top represent different workspace areas for sub-sections of a policy. Policies consist of objects, inter-connected by links, both of which are user configurable.
Links provide the ability to define the progress logic betweeen objects AND pass Dynamic Data to subsequent objects for selection and procesisng. The right-hand column contains the drag and drop policy objects, origanised by type and Integration Packs.
In the ollowing simple example policy, a specified folder is monitored for certain files types, which on detection are FTP trnasferred to a location and then the names of the files transferred are emailed to a defined recipient.
The following simple FTP example demonstrates policy configuration
This policy monitors a folder for the appearance of certain file types, as specified by a filter.
The trigger filenames are passed by dynamic data to the FTP Upload object, which trnasfers them to the the FTP location chosen.
An email is then sent to chosen recipients with the file names successfully trnasferred by FTP.
